COMMUNICATION

• Our entire journey will be documented using professional photo and video equipment used by all crew. Scott Sinton will direct the filmmaking process during the adventure. This will follow us from the initial planning and preparation stages right through to completion. The footage becomes a feature length documentary aimed at film festivals worldwide.
• Social media (facebook, twitter, website and blog) will be used to give our followers live updates (photos, messages, gps co-ordinates) so they can stay connected as we progress.

CONSERVATION

• Raise awareness of the conservation issues facing the north, especially the Peel Watershed, and the importance of protecting these untouched ecosystems.
• Compare the effects of industry in three major North American geographical areas: Northern Quebec, an area affected by long-term mining/forestry,  the Yukon Watershed, an area partially affected by industry, and the Peel Watershed, an untouched ecosystem.
• Highlight the species, communities and environmental functions that these pristine ecosystems have to offer.

COMPLETION

• Our hope is to complete the journey on time and with as little environmental impact as possible, all the while staying safe and having the adventure of a lifetime.
